Jesus is the reason for the season!

Homework for Nov. 30-Dec. 3

Monday:
  1. Write each spelling word 5x.
  2. Study your math facts.
  3. Study the vocabulary words for Thursday's test.
  4. Read the Decodable Book.
Tuesday:
  1. Do the math paper on regrouping (snowflakes).
  2. Do the paper on special vowels- ow.
  3. Share the Religion paper with your family.

Wednesday:
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  2. Read for twenty minutes and record in reading log.
  3. Study your math facts.
  4. Study your vocabulary words and know their definitions.
Thursday:
  1. Do the paper on paragraphs (Write Supporting Details).
  2. Do the excel math homework #24.
  3. Read the Decodable Book.
Note: Some permission slips and money have not been turned in. Please turn them in by tomorrow. I will be giving the spelling, vocabulary, and math facts tests this Thursday instead of Friday due to our field trip.

There is no tutoring this Tuesday due to a meeting.

Habitat Projects Presented this Week!

Homework for November 16th-19th

Monday:

  3. Study your math facts.
  4. Study the vocabulary words.
Tuesday:
  1. Do the math paper on regrouping.
  2. Read for twenty minutes and record in reading log.
  3. Do the paper on r controlled vowels.
Wednesday:
  1. Read the Patterns story "The North Wind and the Sun."
  2. Do the paper Something's Fishy.
  3. Study your math facts.
  4. Study the vocabulary words for Friday's test.
Thursday:
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  2. Study the math facts.
  3. Study the Religion notes for tomorrow's test.
Note: We will be going to the Nutcracker performance on December 4th. I will need parent drivers for this field trip. We will leave school at 9:00 a.m. Permission slips will go home next week. Thank you for your continued help.

Second Grade News!

Homework for Nov. 2-5
Monday:
  1. Write each spelling word 5x.
  2. Read for twenty minutes and record in reading log.
  3. Study and memorize your assigned math facts.
  4. Study your vocabulary words. You will be tested on them on Thursday.
Tuesday:
  1. Write a story using as many of the vocabulary words as you can.
  2. Read the Decodable Book.
  3. Study your math facts.
Wednesday:
  1. Read the koala story to your parents and have them time you for sixty seconds. See how many words you can read.
  2. Do the assigned excel math homework.
Thursday:
  1. Study the Religion notes for Friday's test.
  2. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  3. Read the science paper on baby animals and their parents.
Note: Congratulations to second grade for coming in second place in the Red Ribbon Poem Contest! Second Grade is too busy to do drugs. We're too busy!!

Also, parents please continue to assist your child in reading. The Bats reading paper that is in your child's homework folder is an example of reading for fluency and understanding. I will be assigning stories like that for homework from time to time. Please help your child read the story and answer the questions, if included. All the students received a star on that paper because I assisted them. Thank you for your help.
