Big Mouth Bunny Project

We will be making a "Big Mouth" bunny on Monday, March 29th first thing in the morning. Each student will need to bring in the following items:

  1. one empty gallon milk or water jug, rinsed with soapy water
  2. a bag of Easter grass, any color
  3. two large bags of white cotton balls
  4. a bottle of liquid glue

Please send in the milk jug before this date so I can cut it into the appropriate shape. It will take too long to do it on that day. Also, I would appreciate any extra jugs, if you have them. This is a very special project that I have been doing for many years with my students. Many of them are now in high school and they tell me that they still have their big mouth bunny. Thank you for your help in gathering the materials needed!!

I am so proud of my second graders and how well they did receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time!!! Fr. David said they were all so well prepared and they knew exactly what to do. They are such smart and good students. I am so proud to be their teacher!!!!!

Remember there is no school this Friday. I will be having tutoring on Tuesday.

The Spell-a-thon is on March 26. Enclosed is the entire list that will be the test for that day. This week we are working on the first twenty words for our weekly spelling test. Next week, we will have the last twenty words for the week's test. I like to break up the list for the next two weeks to give the students more of a chance to practice the forty words. Please practice with your child as much as possible. Thank you.

Our field trip is this Friday, March 12th. We will be leaving the school at 8:45 and return around 1:30. Please make sure your child is in full uniform and brings a sack lunch to school. We will be eating on the college grounds after the play and then head back to school.

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the students may wear free dress for a dollar to help the people of Chile. Thank you for your help!
