First Holy Communion Time!

Homework for April 26-29

Monday:
  1. Write each spelling word 4x.
  2. Study the vocabulary words.
  3. Read the Decodable Book.
  4. Work on your recyclebot (due this Friday).
Tuesday:
  1. Do the assigned excel math homework.
  2. Work on your recyclebot.
  3. Study your assigned math facts.
  4. Read the Decodable Book.
Wednesday:
  1. Read the Charlotte's Web story to your family.
  2. Do the Rainforest items paper.
  3. Share the Religion paper with your family.
  4. Work on your recyclebot.
Thursday:
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  2. Study your vocabulary words and math facts.
  3. Work on your recyclebot.
Notes: This Monday, April 26th, is the First Communion Retreat in the Hall starting at 7:15 p.m. The students will be making their banners for First Holy Communion. Also, there is a practice in the church this Thursday, April 29th, for those students making their Holy Communion on May 1st. Next Thursday will be the practice for the students making their Holy Communion on May 8th.

The recyclebot is a mandatory project for all students in the second grade. We have been discussing ways to help reuse, reduce, and recycle and this is a good way to show how we can do these things. The students received the instructions on Earth Day. Thank you for your help!!

Second Grade celebrates Earth Day

Homework for April 19th-22nd

Monday:
  1. Write each spelling word 4x.

  3. Study your math facts.
  4. Read the Decodable Book.
Tuesday:
  1. Read Layers in the Forest.
  2. Work on your recycle project.
  3. Do excel homework #63.
  4. Do the paper on action words (verbs).
Wednesday:
  1. Study the Religion paper for Friday's test.
  2. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 4x.
  3. Share the garbage facts with your family.
  4. Work on your recycle project.
  5. Study your math facts.
Thursday: Earth Day
  1. No Homework-Last Skating Party of the year.
Earth Day Project

This Thursday, April 22nd, is Earth Day. We are celebrating in second grade by discussing ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Please help your child fill his/her grocery bag with items from your home that can be recycled such as empty water bottles, cereal boxes, scraps of paper, etc. and send them in on Thursday. We will be sharing our bags throughout the day. Thank you for your help.

Second Grade is Awesome!

Homework for Second Grade
April 12-15

Monday:
  1. Read the Decodable Book.
  2. Study the vocabulary words.
  3. Write each spelling word 4x.
  4. Study your math facts.
Tuesday:
  1. Share the Religion paper with your family. Please bring it back to school tomorrow.
  2. Do the assigned math paper.
  3. Write a story using as many spelling or/and vocabulary words as possible.
Wednesday:
  1. Read the Decodable Book.
  2. Study the vocabulary words.
  3. Study the Religion notes for Friday's test.
  4. Do the assigned math paper.
Thursday:
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  2. Study the vocabulary words.
  3. Study the Religion notes.
  4. Study your math facts.
Notes:
There is a Parent meeting for 1st Holy Communion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. There is also tutoring this Tuesday. Also, there is a Parent/Child 1st Eucharist Retreat on April 26th at 7:15 in the Hall. Lastly, don't forget that April 23rd is a half day.
