Dear Parents,
We will be having our first spelling test this Friday. Please help your child practice the words. In addition to the ten regular spelling words, I also give two extra credit words. Please encourage your child to spell these words.
As for math, knowing the addition and subtraction facts is extremely important in second grade. Please help your child memorize the addition facts. I test these facts first.
As for homework, I make sure that your child has the work needed for that evening. I may send homework that will be worked on that day and not earlier. I may need to go over the concept before I send it home.
Starting next week please sign any papers that have the stamp Please Sign and Return on them. I like to make sure that parents have seen their student's work.
I hope to see all of you at Back to School Night which is this Thursday, September 9th. It starts at 6:00 p.m.

Sincerely,
Ms. Forbush
