Monday: Hero Day

1. Write each spelling word 5x.
2. Study the vocabulary words.
3. Practice your assigned math facts.
4. Read the Decodable Book.

Tuesday: Twin/Triplet/ Quadruplet Day

1. Do the excel math homework #43.
2. Practice saying the U-Pick It Words.
3. Read the story Bunny Gets Lost two times to increase your reading fluency.
4. Share the Religion paper with your family.

Wednesday: Generation Day- We dress up in the 50s

1. Do excel math homework #44.
2. Do Spelling Skill Builders (choose one of the five activities to practice the spelling words).
3. Do the math paper on counting coins.

Thursday: Jersey Day

1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 6x.
2. Read the science story In the Sea to your family.
3. Practice your math facts.
4. Study your vocabulary words.

Note: We are currently working on recognizing coins in math. Please help your child practice counting coins. Don't forget the Reconciliation meeting on February 7th. Thank you for all you do!

Monday:

Tuesday:

1. Read the story Sibling Stories two times to increase your reading fluency.
2. Practice the Seven Steps to a Good Confession.

Wednesday:

1. Study the Religion notes for Friday's test.
2. Do excel math homework #42.
3. Share the social studies vocabulary cards with your family.

Thursday:

1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 7x.
2. Study your math facts.
3. Study the vocabulary words.

Note: Thank you parents for sending in the deodorant!! Also, stop by and see the second grade rookery. We have penguins everywhere!!

Jog-a-thon Week

Homework for January 18-20

Tuesday:

1. Write each spelling word 5x.
2. Study your assigned math facts.
3. Read the story Hank and Ruby two times to increase your reading fluency.

Wednesday:

1. Do excel math homework #37.
2. Do the paper on High Frequency Words.
3. Do the paper on One-Digit Problem Solving.

Thursday:

1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 7x.
2. Do excel math homework #39.
3. Read for twenty minutes and record in reading log.

Note: There is no vocabulary test this week. Don't forget the Jog-a-thon this Friday. Let the jogging begin!

Monday: Parent Meeting tonight for those who need to attend.

2. Study the vocabulary words.
3. Study your assigned math facts.

Tuesday:

1. Put these U-Pick Words in ABC order: suddenly, found, eighth, people, should, before, afraid, and heard.
2. Do the reading paper on Consonant Blends.
3. Do excel math homework #33.
4. Read for twenty minutes and record in reading log.

Wednesday:

1. Do My New Year's Wish paper.
2. Do excel math homework #34.
3. Study your vocabulary words.

Thursday:

1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 7x.
2. Study the Religion notes for tomorrow's test.
3. Study your math facts.

Note: We will be doing a science experiment on Wednesday. Each child needs to bring in one mitten or glove. Thank you for your help.
