Notes: Our AR reading program is coming along nicely and the students are taking tests daily. The goal of this reading program is to increase your child's fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Second graders should be reading 80 words per minute at this time. Practicing reading will help your child increase this level. Have your child read the Bee story orally to you and encourage him/her to read quickly (at a rate that allows your child to understand the story), accurately (with few mistakes), and with expression. We practice this daily and I have seen the students beam with confidence as their fluency improves!

Our school's Barnes and Noble Day is October 25th at Citrus Plaza. You are encouraged to purchase OLA Barnes and Noble Scrip to maximize your fundraising.
