Homework for November 28- December 2

Monday:
  1. Write each spelling word 5x.
  2. Study your math facts.
  3. Go online to study Unit 5 vocabulary words.
  4. Study the Religion paper with your family.
Tuesday:
  1. Do the paper on "r" controlled words.
  2. Read the story about koalas to increase your reading fluency.
  3. Do excel math homework #21.
  4. Study your math facts.
Wednesday:
  1. Write a story using as many spelling and/or vocabulary words as you can.
  2. Read the Decodable Book.
  3. Do the paper on proper nouns.
Thursday: Nutcracker field trip (Please wear full uniform).
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 5x.
  2. Study your math facts.
  3. Do the vocabulary paper.
Friday: Wear full uniform. We have Mass and it is also half day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Homework for November 21-22

Monday: (Parent/Teacher Conferences-Half Day)
  1. Write a sentence for each of these U-Pick Words: because, decided, everywhere, finally, heard, important, morning, people, said, and thought. Remember, each sentence has to be 8 words or longer.
  2. Read the Thanksgiving story to your parents.
  3. Study your math facts.

Tuesday: (Parent/Teacher Conferences-Half Day)
  1. Read the Firefly story to your parents. Remember to read quickly, accurately, and with expression.
  2. Study your math facts.
Notes: There will be no tests this week. Also, I have some Nutcracker Field Trip news. Mrs. Gallarzo got a bus for second grade. All parents who were signed up for driving will travel on the bus with the students. Thanks, Mrs. Gallarzo! Now we can all relax and let someone else do the driving.

Super Smart Second Grade!

Homework for November 14-17

Monday: Free for Four Food Drive begins.
  1. Read the habitat story to your family.
  2. Study your assigned math facts.
  3. Work on your habitat project (due on Thursday).
  4. Write each spelling word 6x.
Tuesday:
  1. Practice saying the U-Pick Words.
  2. Do excel math homework #19.
  3. Read the Old Testament stories to your family.
  4. Study your math facts.
Wednesday:
  1. Put the U-Pick Words in alphabetical order: upon, friend, because, important, school, clothes, and people.
  2. Study the Religion notes for Friday's test.
  3. Work on the habitat project.
Thursday: Last day for the Free for 4 Food Drive.
  1. Take a spelling pretest and write any misspelled word 6x.
  2. Study your math facts.
  3. Read the Decodable Book.
Note: Please keep the U-Pick Words in a safe place to use for the rest of the year. I will assign homework using these words. Thank you. Also, please turn in the Nutcracker permission slip by Friday. I need to know if I will have enough drivers. Thank you.
