Multiplication News
This Thursday, I will be testing all students on the two's, five's, and ten's.  These facts are part of the second grade standards and must be memorized before third grade.  I realize that many of the students have memorized the other facts and I am extremely proud of them.  I will continue to work on those facts.  Next week, we will do a review of the 0's, 1's, and 2's.  Please continue to have your child practice his/her addition and subtraction facts, as well.  These need to be reviewed throughout the summer because your child will be tested on them at the beginning of third grade.  I will also introduce division to all students next week.  Thank you for your continued help.

Important News

Don't forget to bring in your Big Mouth Bunny materials by Tuesday morning.  We will begin making them at 8:30.

Thank you Room Moms and all parents who sent in goodies and worked at our Bakesale!  The money helps out the eighth grade class for graduation expenses.

There is a wonderful Mother's Day surprise in the works and I need your help.  I can't say too much because it is a surprise but I do need a recipe from each student by this Thursday.  It can be a favorite family recipe that you wouldn't mind sharing.  I also need ten dollars from each student.  The money does not need to be turned in this week but the sooner the better because we want it finished before Mother's Day.  Miss Randi is helping me so you know it will be fabulous!  She is going to start working on it during Easter vacation.  That is all I can say.  May all of you have a blessed Holy Week and Easter.

There will not be a spelling test this week.  I will be having tutoring.
